Disney Challenge Day 49: Disney Animal I Want

50 Day Disney Challenge
Day Forty-Nine: Disney Animal I Want to Have

I think out of all the animals in Disney movies I'd really want to have Pascal! He's absolutely adorable. Even though in real life I don't really like reptiles and lizards (chameleons, in this case) kind of freak me out...Pascal would be an exception because he's so cute ;)

Disney Challenge Day 41: Favorite Musical Movie

50 Day Disney Challenge
Day Forty-One: Your favorite musical movie

Does Tangled count as a musical? Well, it does now! They have characters that randomly burst into song (like the good ol' Disney days) so I think that qualifies it as a musical to at least some extent. I just really love how upbeat and fun this movie is, it really reminds me of the old princess movies (except with CGI graphics). The songs are fun and catchy, and the story is touching. I also love Pascal and Maximus, they're great. Not to mention Flynn Ryder is kind of perfect.

Only nine more days until I leave for the DCP! Yikes! I should probably start packing soon....

Speaking of packing, I'll be filming a packing video blog today! Stay tuned!

Disney Challenge Day 9: Favorite Couple

50 Day Disney Challenge
Day Nine: Your Favorite Couple

I think Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder are absolutely adorable. I love their story, how he was an orphaned thief that accidentally found a lost princess, and it wasn't love at first sight. Their adventures brought them together and changed both of them for the better. She didn't care that he had a rough past, and he still fell in love with her even when he didn't know she was a princess. They're so fun, lighthearted and adorable.

Disney Challenge Day 6: Favorite Animal

50 Day Disney Challenge
Day Six: Your Favorite Animal

The minute I started watching Tangled for the first time I fell in love with Pascal! He's so dang cute and adorable I just can't get enough of him. He doesn't talk or anything (..like most animals I guess...) but I think he's unique in comparison to other Disney animal characters because he's a chameleon. I mean come on, how cool is that?! He can change colors! It just adds to his adorable-ness.

Okay. Enough ranting about the how adorable he is (even though I could continue..)

Who's your favorite Disney animal character?

Disney Challenge Day 4: Favorite Prince

50 Day Disney Challenge
Day Four: Your Favorite Prince

Aladdin used to be for sure my favorite Disney prince, but after watching Tangled that changed. Now Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert is one of my favorites as well. It really is a tie between the two, which I find hilarious because they're both orphans and thieves. I think Aladdin is one of my favorites because he's really kind hearted and nice. I think Flynn is hilarious, and his face characters in the park are usually quite attractive ;)

Disney Tune...Wednesday?

I apologize for the lack of Tune Tuesday yesterday! Instead of ignoring the fact that I blatantly spaced about the fact that it was Tuesday (I'm so off this week), I decided to still share with you the song that is ALWAYS in my head!!

I also wanted to share this with you because today after my classes were finished I was hanging out with my friends in the student lounge area, and I heard a familiar voice and song behind me. I looked over and noticed that two guys sitting in a chair a few feet away from me were watching Tangled! At first I was kind of surprised, it's not every day you see people at my college watching Disney movies like this one (though one time this one group started blasting Lion King music..which I was okay with).

Hearing any Tangled song is kind of a curse for me...simply because if I hear it, I'll get "I've Got a Dream" stuck in my head. Since it's always stuck in my head, I decided to share it with you! :)

Enjoy!

For a quick Disney College Program update: After a few weeks of searching and talking to new and amazing people on Facebook, my friend and I have found our roommates for the program! I'll explain more later about how the living/housing/roommate process goes :)

Have a magical day!

Disney Tune Tuesday 12: Life Will Begin

Last night at 6:15 I had my phone interview for the Disney College Program! I think it went very well. I will be creating a video blog either today or tomorrow explaining most of the questions that she asked me and answering questions anyone might have about the interview. I know the phone interview is the most nerve-wracking part of the application for the majority of applicants, so any way I can help you feel better about the process I'm willing to help!

Meanwhile, today is Tuesday! Which means, Disney song day!

This is a song that I've been listening to many times lately, and I know a lot of people on the Disney College Program Spring 2013 Facebook group page have also! Waiting is a huge part of the application, which is probably why this song is so relatable at a time like this!

When Will My Life Begin?

Disney Fairy Tale Wedding: Rapunzel

Week Eight Wedding Dress: Rapunzel

It's the final Disney fairy tale wedding dress from Alfred Angelo! The conclusion to this series of gorgeous and breathtaking dresses ends with the amazing and free-spirited Rapunzel.

Since Rapunzel is a relatively new princess, her first dress comes from the second collection of the Disney bridal gowns, while the second dress comes from a special edition group that includes Cinderella.

Collection Two

Alfred Angelo's "Rapunzel"

Designer Description: "Romantic, artful and confident defines this Rapunzel inspired gown. Subtle draped taffeta reminiscent of the twists and turns of her long braided hair play up the dreamy form fitting silhouette. A delicate floral sash with pearls, sequins, and crystals pays homage nature and the world she expresses through her artistry."

Style 214
My Opinion: I think this dress has a very simple elegance and beauty. It's one of my personal favorites because it isn't as flashy and out there like some of the previous dresses. I love the sparkly waist band and the fitted body before it drapes loosely to the ground. I love it! I'd wear it for my own wedding!

Special Edition

Designer Description: "Showcased at Kensington Palace in London for Rapunzel's Royal Celebration, this Special Edition gown reflects Rapunzel's unique, artistic, upbeat and confident personality. The gown features a one shoulder dropped waist and pleated bodice. Delicate three-dimensional satin petals and light catching sequins and crystals dance and float like the lanterns that carried her dreams."

Style 208

My Opinion: This isn't one of my favorites. I think it would look better in person. I like how it's unique and different and that the designer was inspired by the lanterns in the movie. I almost feel like it'd be better without the one shoulder strap...mainly because I think they look kind of like feathers. Still pretty, just not my first pick.

Disney Maiden/Bridesmaid

Style 502

Flower Girl/"Blossom"

Style 708

This concludes the Alfred Angelo Disney fairy tale wedding dress series! However, I have a little surprise...I recently discovered there are also amazing veils and jewelry that go with each princess and their dresses! I will share them with you soon!

Also, Alfred Angelo has a section of Disney prom dresses that are absolutely breathtaking. They don't have designated princesses that match with each dress, so I will be sorting them into different colors for each post (since putting them all in one post would be overwhelming).

I hope you enjoyed the dresses! Which set was your favorite? I don't know if I could decide...I'm thinking maybe Cinderella, Aurora, or Rapunzel.
